• CUPS based printer not printing

  • • Check the contents of /etc/cups/printer.conf to see if there are two lines like the following:

    • State Stopped

    • StateMessage /usr/lib/cups/backend/lpd failed

    • If so,  replace those lines with the following line:

    • State Idle

    • After this, restart the CUPS service:

    • service cups restart
